Campbelltown Arts Centre is excited to present it's biennale collection show, this year titled The Gorge. This year’s exhibition will highlight the artistic hub that is the suburb of Wedderburn, featuring works by well-known local artists Suzanne Archer, David Fairbairn, David Hawkes, Elisabeth Cummings, John Peart, Roy Jackson, Fred Braat and Joan Brassil.
The artistic community of Wedderburn was formed in 1976, after the gift of land was donated to a group of artists by local landowners, Nick and Barbara Romalis. Since then, the community has continued to thrive, and has produced some of Australia’s most significant artists. This unique sanctuary is inspiration for works that reflect the dominant bush setting and local landscape. Featuring paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and ceramics, The Gorge exhibition will have something for everyone to enjoy.
Displayed alongside these works will be the Friends Annual exhibition, a showcase of works by the talented members of the Friends of Campbelltown Arts Centre, with all works for sale.
