Name: Macarthur Centre of Sustainable Living
Website: http://www.mcsl.org.au/

Description

In this workshop, you’ll find out what's in season and why cooking with seasonal produce provides you with better nutrition and maximum flavour.

Seasonal produce is also cheaper, more likely to be locally grown and environmentally more sustainable.

We’ll also provide you with ideas for how to remove single-use plastic by demonstrating alternatives to plastic food wrap and bags.

We will take you through what’s in season and provide you with a seasonal produce guide. Our Chef will cook up some delicious recipes using seasonal produce and leftovers for you to sample.

Take another step to towards living a waste-free lifestyle and save money, too!

COVID Safe Plan

MCSL has a Covid Safe plan. Current public health regulations will be observed. All equipment will be sanitised before and after each workshop. Hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities will be provided.

These sustainable workshops are funded by Campbelltown City Council with the goal of increasing environmental stewardship within the Campbelltown community.
