Last night I attended the official opening of a new restaurant and a new function centre. La Bella Charli at White Waratah Retreat opposite Picton Golf Course. Owner Carl greeted invited guests at his refurbished reception room before showing us through the very nicely presented restaurant at the front of the building. I think half of Picton was there! It was a great response from local business and dignitaries. The reception room had been dressed for four separate uses: wedding, cocktail, business and social. A new restaurant might even cause more excitement. With Tony from Cutting Edge in the kitchen, the food should be great for restaurant or function. Had a quick look at the menu. All pretty straight forward, as is the wine list. Simple food done well is a good recipe. Congratulations and good luck. (02) 4677 1208
