Vaby's Picton - Worth the Drive

A good friend of mine, Jessie, lives out in Picton. It's a very pretty place but such a boring drive from Raby. I usually try and get her to come to me but this one particular night I decided, I would brave the drive and visit her. I asked her where we could go for dinner in Picton, late on a Wednesday night. She proposed Vaby's. I was happy with this suggestion as I've been wanting to go to Vaby's Campbelltown for ages. I was surprised when, on arrival, we were told we'd have to wait to be seated. We were shown to our seats upstairs which was apparently out of the ordinary for a Wednesday night as it was unusually busy. We were tempted to go with the special of 3 courses for $27.50 but opted not to. Our choices did not disappoint. The food was great and it all came to under $30 each anyway. Dessert was a highlight for me (as usual). We shared the delicious "Go Nuts" icecream cake with peanut base and chocolate sauce, yumm! Perhaps the drive to Picton is not so bad after all.
