Stretched over two days, the 29th annual Thirlmere Festival of Steam will stretch across the entire village of Thirlmere on both Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of March. Aside from trains (and lots of them) there will be wood chopping, working dog trials, sheep shearing, steam train rides, live entertainment, amusement rides, show ‘n’ shine and helicopter rides on Saturday. A street parade and 100 market stalls, exhibits and more on Sunday.
