Marcia and Mimi's excellent adventure

Posted: Friday, 29 January 2010, 01:02 PM

Former Camden local and 'in Macarthur magazine' contributor Marcia Leone (yes daughter of Enzo) is off on another adventure. I will let her tell you all about it:

Hi everyone,

My friend Mimi and I have set ourselves a crazy challenge and we’re looking for support from family, friends and corporations.

We will be taking part in Inspired Adventure’s CAMBODIA CHALLENGE which involves cycling (yes, cycling…) through rural villages, volunteering at a community project and spending time at an orphanage in Bakong during the month of May.

In addition to the physical challenge, we will be raising much needed funds for WAR CHILD Australia. War Child is an international relief and development agency, dedicated to providing immediate, effective and sustainable aid to children affected by war.

Visit our webpage for further details or to donate:

We’ll also be holding some key fundraising events over the coming months - cinema nights, barefoot lawn bowls, Table for 20 and even the old sausage sizzle might get a look in. So if you’re not in a position to donate funds, thats cool, there’ll be other ways you can show your support.

We have a HUGE target to reach and appreciate any support you can give. Dontations over $2 are tax deductible.

Not having ridden a bike since I was 10 doesnt really help my cause but you certainly can...

Thank you so much for your support

Marcia
