Intro from the Editor David Everett

Kirsty and I went for another tourist drive, this time to Mudgee. The photo on the contents spread was an opportunity I spied on the way home. Australia truly is a magnificent country. Read the story on page 50.

Back home, and lots going on. Openings, reopenings and closures too - but that's retail. We have a feature on the rebirthed George IV at Picton, the half completed Club Menangle (previously Horse & Jockey Inn), and the just about complete Camden Valley inn. All three are wow! Of course, there's a stack of restaurant reviews in 'where we've been'.

Our Winter Survey confirmed very strongly that's exactly where you flick to first. You're all about the food. Glad to help :)

Enjoy Spring in Macarthur. It's another beauty.

Win a dining experience at one of the district's longest serving Thai restaurants. Saam opened her restaurant in Dumaresq Street 13 years ago and Wnida from Songkhala has been cooking with her the whole time. Saam always had a passion for cooking. "Back in Thailand, I had a little shop for seven years in my home town, Sattahip."

Saam recently introduced an 'all you can eat' buffet.
