Wivenhoe Village at Kirkham Rise

Suburb: Kirkham Rise
Phone: 1300 660 107

General Information

Wivenhoe Village was created through a very successful joint venture between the Sisters of the Good Samaritan and Mbark Pty Ltd. The Sisters have been custodians of the land for over a hundred years and retain a strong attachment to the land, as does the local community.

Having realised their vision to share the custody of the land with families and others who now choose to call it home, the Sisters retain ownership of the vast conservation lands surrounding Wivenhoe, while village ownership remains with the Mbark Group.  The Sisters are supported with the long-term maintenance of this unique bush land resource surrounding bushland by a trust which has been established specifically for this purpose.

Mbark has a highly regarded track record of creating award winning quality developments such as  The Arbour, an over 55s village in Berry, the redevelopment of a formerly derelict building at 117 Harrington St in The Rocks and Kirkham Rise, a residential community surrounded by 120 hect of critically endangered bushland. Mbark’s success is based on creating strong community engagement. A dedication to delivering exceptional design together with a respect for the environment ensures that Mbark continues to achieve excellent results for current communities and for those in future generations.

The Sisters and Mbark share an appreciation of the cultural history as well as a commitment to preserve the bushland integrity of the site.
