I visited Bistro Calavia the newest Camden restaurant recently with Dr Bec. Very much a worthwhile visit. A mostly straightforward menu has a few real highlights. Mushroom Calavia - grilled field mushroom topped with eggplant and roasted julienne of capsicum, olive tapenade and shaved parmesan is excellent. The menu claims it to be the “best entrée in NSW award winning mushroom dish” from Mushroom Growers Australia. Not sure what that means... but we agree. Order it - Yum. The Birds nest Pavlova (pictured) is also a cracker!
