Looking for a fun free activity to do with your kids 3-14 years?  Check out The Oaks Storytelling Festival on Saturday 1st September, 10am-2pm.  It will be held at The Oaks Public School, John Street, The Oaks.  The theme for Book Week this year is ‘Champions Read’ and there are many champions in their field presenting on the day.  The ‘Surfing Scientist’ from ABC kids (digestive system talk and experiments), Cartoon Dave from Channel 10’s ‘Toasted TV’ program (cartooning show), Farmer Scott (The Great Poo Show), new authors- Dawko (The Bum Book)and Christine (Alex Cottle-Axolotl).  There will also be sports champions coming on the day to talk to and a surprise visit from some famous book characters.
