Rugby league fans will be in for a treat when renowned sports author Alan Whiticker visits HJ Daley Library next month to discuss his latest book, 101 Great Rugby League Players, which traces the all-time heroes of the sport throughout its history.

Featuring detailed and highly entertaining player-career overviews, superb photographs, rare historical shots and player statistics, the book is a must-read for devoted followers of the sport.

The event is being held as part of the library’s Visiting Author Program, and in conjunction with the National Year of Reading.

The Alan Whiticker author visit will be held on Thursday 6 September at 7pm. This is a free event, however, bookings are essential.
